Mallikatta Park was developed a few years ago at a cost of around Rs 75 lakh. As part of the development, a memorial pedestal was created in honour of Kadri Gopalanath, with a saxophone replica placed inside a glass enclosure. The installation had become a major attraction for visitors to the park.
